Well, it's been a month and a half since !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , then about two 3-Series—for a fun family car that will be a blast on a track day, the practicality, comfort, and safety of a 330i ZHP was just about as equally valued as the rarity, fun, rawness, performance, and looks (at least my opinion) of the 6MT Euro 3.2 E36 M3 coupe. Many people made their decision for the ZHP in being merciful towards the semi-collectible M car, which was understandable. This time, a sacrifice must be made either way, but these cars won't both be reasonable dream cars; one is FWD, but should be cheaper to have serviced). The other has an automatic transmission, but has a badge that improves your image (at least that's what it said in the brochure). An explanation/introduction is on the first one, in case you think I care about brand or sedan vs. coupe, etc.
!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
This time, the cars are both brand-spanking-new coupes—we can just stereotype and say the wife made you get something new—with a target demographic of a younger, upper-middle class individuals. With no plans for kids and nothing to haul around, you might as well get a coupe, not to mention that you have a dislike for sedans (some people care too much about doors; don't ask me). Anyways, the two cars you are considering and have to decide between are a new 6MT Accord V6 coupe with various optional luxury appointments bringing the price up to the mid-to-high $30k range (only available in dark gray or black, also known as the 2015 Mustang esp. when in red)
and a 2014 C250 , which should run you an also-high $37,000 price tag after some negotiation and is available in most of the usual colors.
While the W204's somewhat outdated 201-horsepower turbo 4 is down 77BHP from the Accord's V6 sporting 278 ponies and doesn't give you the option of rowing your own gears, you have to remember that it is from an automaker that will justify the price with the work friends and can get some oppo in snow driving and do other RWD hooning (it also makes up somewhat for that number with a more respectable torque figure which is usually more important). Many people would argue that the C250 is the more attractive car, too; but, you would have to sacrifice that wonderful feeling of shifting your own gearbox and have to replace it with little clicks. Plus you are that guy who can't help but care about what kind of car he drives like you care about whether it is a coupe or sedan. So it's your time to decide: do you jump for drifting or clutch for some shifting?
Disclaimer: 2010 C300 coupe 6MT is not an option. Some people "need" new cars.

Accord, I hate the C-class. Both are MILFmobiles though, the wife can keep it.

Manual transmission, in a second. A lot of my favourite cars are FWD.

You can probably get a C-class cheaper than 37k. I know it's possible to get a sedan C250 with only heated seats for 31k. I'd take the C250 either way since I like the way it drives and the way it looks. I also really like the engine in it. It's surprisingly torquey.

Accord gets the narrow victory here, but I'll get to get more out of shifting myself vs having rwd.

Hands down the 6-6 Accord.
I have a 6th gen Accord. Unfortunately I didn't know how to drive a stick at time of purchase, so it's a V6 5spd auto. But you know what? I love that car. And I can only imagine how much better it would be with a 6spd manual.
I don't really care about RWD or the name plate of the Mercedes. I love what the Accord is and I love what the Accord does.

Taking all the economic actors into consideration, plus the manual aspect, the Accord gets my vote. Plus, I think I'd be a bit more willing to have fun in a car that won't break the bank when it does break.
Plus, I street park and I can only imagine what a side mirror on a Merc costs.

Accord hands down. First off, it's a 275hp car, with pretty damn good capabilities.
Secondly, maintenece is probably way cheaper for it than the merc.
thirdly, it has 75 more horses than the 250, so it will outpace it to 60.
plus, I think it looks just as good as the merc!
